If you live in Sheffield, then you've probably heard of The Forum. First opened in 1992, the legendary kitchen and bar is now bringing a new offering to the table. In an effort to bring a new lease of life to the establishment, a major refurbishment has been underway to reimagine the space and diversify the customer base.
Following on from a successful campaign video with Forge Bakehouse, True North reached out to me to document the next steps - this time from their perspective.
The first video in the series was a showcase of Forge Bakehouse and their incredible bread and pastries, with a teaser of what was to come. You can see more about that project on my promotional video portfolio page here.
Teaming up with True North, the two longstanding Sheffield institutions set out to bring delicious bakes and terrific coffee to the city center. Throw Huddersfield based wholesale coffee roaster Dark Woods into the mix, and you've got something really special!
True North tasked me with creating some on-going social reels that could be shared live as the refurbishment was taking place. This meant that we needed a quick turn-around! This is something I specialise in, as someone who can confidently shoot and edit to a tight deadline. The first reel we captured was shot, edited, tweaked, signed off and posted in less than 24 hours!
I then came back to The Forum on opening day to capture the finishing touches and the first cups of coffee being made with their brand spanking new coffee machine. We wanted these videos to excite and invite new and old customers to come check out the fresh space and enjoy the new products on offer.
The final video in the series involved an interview with the Assistant Manager and head of coffee - Anne Gaillot. I spoke to Anne about their motivations for the refurbishment, the partnerships with new brands, and what customers can expect from their next visit. This longer piece was delivered both in widescreen and in reels version so it could be shared across socials and also be used on their website.
Through this on-going marketing campaign, we wanted to give customers a more rich and vibrant way to be involved in the refurbishment of The Forum. Video can be an excellent way to showcase the finer details of your business and entice customers to experience it for themselves. Social media is the most powerful way to engage with your audience, and can drive up a big influx of traffic.
It is widely known these days that the algorithms across social media are prioritizing video content, and staying up to date with the constantly evolving online marketplace is essential to thrive in the current climate.
If you're looking to promote your brand or business, then a fantastic way to do this is to have a videographer spend a few hours capturing everything that makes your business shine. We can then extract so much value from this short shooting window to provide a bank of stills, clips, reels, and longform content to extend your reach and achieve your marketing goals.
If you'd like to discuss any video production needs, although I am a Sheffield based videographer, I work nationwide with businesses to create compelling video content that demands the attention of their audience.
